Musical Inspiration For The Week (No. 39) - 12-25-2022

“Lift Me Up” by Rihanna. I’ve had this song on the list since we saw Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a church. But I had to hold onto it because when this joint played at the end of the movie it reminded me of my baby brother (Bishop Pigee) and had me in tears. I considered myself his protector. But amazingly, it strengthens me each time I listen to it. It's the perfect song to close out 2022. Rihanna kill’d this joint Sone!!!! The Last one…HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!! Pastor Carthel 

 “All Of My Help” BY Ricky Dillard. What do you do when ya feeling low and there’s nowhere to go? You RUN TO GOD, because ALL of our help comes from God (even if it’s thru other people). Man, dem sopranos kill’d this track. Another one!!! Love you Jointz! Pastor Carthel

 "Near The Cross" by The Mississippi Mass Choir. A lot of our younger folks ain't gonna be feel'n this week's selection. Oh, but our Seasoned Saints, me included, fully understand what "near the cross" means. Enuf talk'n...I pray it blesses your soul (young and old alike). Another one!!! Love you Jointz! “Miracle worker” by The Rance Allen Group. There are times when life becomes a little too much to handle. Times when we need a supernatural manifestation of God’s power. Times when WE NEED A MIRACLE. How many miracle workers do you know? Well, just in case you’re wondering let me introduce you to My God…HE’S A MIRACLE WORKER in my life and can be one in yours too (all you gotta do is ask). Then, there are other times when we don't even feel worthy of our destiny. I pray that this week's selection provides clarity, confirmation, and BOLDNESS no matter where you are! Love you Jointz!  MUSICAL INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK (No. 32): "Crazy" by The Walls Group. Welcome to "THE VILLAGE". It's often said that there's a thin line between faith and crazy (that's me all- day, err-day). I admit, sometimes our faith and obedience to God can cause us to appear a tad bit strange to folks (even ourselves on occasion). The title speaks for itself, so no need to over talk it. But I really needed this one family (real talk). “Keep the faith…don’t give up…it’s only a test…hold on...be strong…it won’t last…weeping may endure for a night”. My personal declaration: My wilderness is not permanent! I pray this week’s selection encourages your heart.

Wow…this week’s selection is (without a doubt) one of the most powerful songs about love I’ve ever heard. “I cannot hide…you know what I have done. But, you chose to love me anyway.” Soooo true!
